I'm aware there were a few rumours that his knees were just not up to the intensity of top level football i.e he could only do one game a week, but this was never substantiated beyond anything other than the word on the grapevine.

That said his purple patch from the back end of 2010-11 and start of 2011-12 was pretty impressive. The talent was definitely there.

Had such high hopes for him, looked like he was finally going to cement his spot in the 1st team after a string of impressive performances & a great goal at Reading but in that same game he did his hammy & that was that .
