Default Would you take £50m for Rooney

If it meant him playing at city, but the money was to be spent on players not debt.

Yes.

I wouldn't like it being City, but yes.

No, he's a settled, world class, match winner.

50m doesn't guarantee that.

No.

A tougher one is would you give Madrid Rooney & DDG to have Ronny back?

£#%&!ing tough one IMO despite how:mmmonkey: it is thinking of having Ronny back in the shirt.

The big catch there is the at city bit. £#%&! that, no chance. If it was Madrid and we spent that £50m on new players (i.e straight on Falcao) then maybe.

I don't think we've ever built any of our teams based on players being world class, have we.

We've probably only got 1 world class player in our squad right now.

I dunno.

Vidic is world class. Would walk into any team as I suspect Rio would walk into many.

Carrick is at the very top of his game right now.

Yes, NQAT. He played well at city fair enough, but the rest of the season fis form has been all over the place. 50 million for a player who can be very good but lacks consistency is a very good deal!

When you consider his injury record and his conditioning on returning from injury it would be a no brainer!

yeah... depends what the definition of world class is doesn't it.

re vidic and rio, i agree with your points, that's a red's opinion but i don't think it would be the opinion of everyone - and carrick backs this up:

for years i've said how effective carrick is and the job he does for united. most other team's fans (and a lot of ours) just don't see it. now, all of a sudden the penny's dropped (probably in part due to G.Nev's recent analysis on him). what i'm saying is he's typical of what we're talking about - he's world class to US, which to me is more important than what other teams / FIFA team of the year panel think of our lot

No, I couldn't bear to see him do well at City. He is world class I'd say, because he can really take a game by the scruff of the neck sometimes. Plus if he did go we'd have to find someone with that money to replace him with. I don't think you could find a Rooney type anywhere for £50m.

City signed Aguero for considerably less than £50m. Tevez as well.

That's the level of player he's in for me.

£50m would probably buy you Neymar.

As for Rooney + DDG for Ronaldo. Yes. In an instant. I'd even chuck in Rio if they wanted him.
