snoop and brown were very solid.

park? you're kidding, right? I mean he tried hard and I can't really fault him too much, but... really? yikes.

hargreaves scares me at right back.

I don't think I can answer that without saying "no".

I said I can't really fault park's performance. if I wanted to be negative, I would mention that he's shit.

as for hargreaves, he can tackle. but when he has the ball, he always tries to take the man on on the outside. it's not a good thing to do when you're the last line of defence. and it scares me. he will get caught soon.

I think that's unfair on Park.

He made some important tackles, broke up their play and was as good as any one else going forward. Put in a couple of decent crosses as well.

Agree about Hargreaves. He got done defensively a couple of times as well.

Default By Common Consent....

...on the MUTV phone-in and IMHO, Wes Brown!!

This is what he's like when he concentrates 100%. Awesome defensive display!

Mind you, I won't argue too strongly against anyone who says Tevez, Park, Rio or Evra!

Heroes!!

Thumbs up usual suspects

but I thought Jason P deserves real credit.

All the #@&%!s who say he is there for shirt sales - some of the 50:50s he won were superb, his energy was incredible, the cross for Nani's header in the first half was top drawer, he was unlucky with his 1st half shot and was all round superb.

JSP's USP is his energy. Brilliant.

(not in any way to disparage Tevez,Agent Orange, Rio, Cougar, Scream etc.)

They were all big men last night, played with such maturity, concentration and belief...there should be several man of the match awards, to the names already mentioned on here. The defense were immense, Brown and Rio in particular. Tevez for me just shaded them by the fact that he seemed to be doing all that running around...I am still pissed.....man of the match for me though was Scholes..for the goal, pure and simple. A goal that takes us to Moscow, and a goal worthy to remember him by. What a strike.

Wez for me. Thought Tevez did brilliantly at running his arse off and unnerving the opposition but Wez's interceptions were quite simply £#%&!ing crucial.

Without Wez, we would have lost.

I know this is grossly unfair but Tevez reminds me of this lot:
