Let's hope Shearer wasn't drinking when football came home. It might've felt he back of his hand.

I remember there was a shitstorm because a pic appeared showing all the white players at one table and the black players at another.

Watched it last night. Really enjoyed it - football back then pisses on the current game by a mile

Always said Incey should have taken the 6th penalty

That was bad luck - the black players were all from Surinam and they hired a Suranimese chef to cook for them that night, so they all sat together just for that one meal, and a photographer captured it. There actually was one white player at their table too, you just couldn't see it.*

*I just googled all this information.

does anyone really immediately think of shearer when they think about euro96?

very odd programme. not as weird as the bbc using lineker to front a programme about the ajax youth philosophy but close...

I thought he did a good job though. I remember after that Holland game I really thought we could win it.

Ukraine Czech Republic group game iirc. Poborsky played. Sat in North stand which I think had just opened, but vaguely recall mentioning that before on here and getting shot down.

Edit: must've been the Germany Czech game as it's the only Czech game at OT.

37,000 attendance.
