was impressed with david silva, boruc, corluka, kazim kazim . but for me the player of the tournament was torres purely for his work rate and assits he got, oh and scoring the winning goal in the final

There's no real reason to be shocked there, Benzema is brilliant.

nah mate he played well, a lot better than i thought. crossing isnt his thing but he was played out of position, he will join a premiership club in the window for about 5-7 million £

I'm with you. He's been good in every game I've seen him in and has hardly put a foot wrong. Making Ballack bleed confirmed it.

I don't think anyone stood out in particular.
All much of a muchness.
There's nobody who I thought "£#%&!. That lad HAS to be at Old Trafford"

I thought Spain were alright but nothing special. This whole 'purist' football hobby-horse that the English media are currently on is cringeworthy.

Fabregas is the best player in the World & Liverpool won the Trophy single handedly last night.
I think that's the jist of it from what I've gathered.

I dare say that most people WONT have said Senna before the pundits mentioned him last night after the game. It's a boon that he has been recognised and not some flash one trick pony attacking player fancy-dan.
