Of course it does, they stole our game. But even to the extent that the modern game is a putrified crock of shit, united being owed and used by the murderous tyrants of the House of Saud would be a bridge too far and in the event that it did happen they should be forced to change the club name to Saudi something or other.

Is there not some FA rule about being a 'fit and proper' person to own a club

Look, there is no point arguing as its not happening.
What will happen is, we'll get the evil owners we currently have, saying they have no plans to sell us to other evil owners.

We are not that lucky, sadly.

Indeed. They murder babies in the womb in the US.

Oh, is that not what you meant?

Sources told Sky News last month that that amendment to the rule book had been partly inspired by a move by Chinese businessman Gao Jisheng to take control of Southampton FC in a deal reported to be worth £200m.
Not sure where they would stand on war crimes, deliberate targeting of civilians and the starving of children, as well as the catalogue of crimes against humanity and human rights violations that these lads regularly engage in.

Saudis are the Gaitans of owner for us. Always remember stories being linked with undisclosed ‘Arabs’ in the 80’s who were coming in and buying Maradona.

Was for then, and as football’s already £#%&!ed and no chance of fan ownership or anything approaching palatable, we might as well go full Death Star.

I don’t want anyone who’ll pump their own money in, unless it’s for stadium improvement. Just make us debt free, keep a low profile and let us spend what we earn. And preferably don’t be murderous @#%&!s.

Would be the first time the British government have stood up to the Saudis. Could ABUism trump the Tory love of money and power?

We can't dismiss it, too much noise now.

Rumours they will bring Mou back this summer.

Might be the only way to make this tasteful for many reds. Mou + Saudi money = RIP Pep and everyone else. We'd get the best players in every single position. No messing.

Imagine the look on Pep's face the day it is announced Mou is back and back with several tonnes of gold....

Honestly think he would take another "sabbatical" asap.

Mostly well.

It wasn't anywhere near enough what we needed considering what rivals are spending and the mess Mou inherited.

You don't think we'd suddenly do better if he could actually be able to just put money on the table for all his first choices. Imagine how different our team looks with just one more centre half and one more fullback....
