Default What's wrong with Marcus Rashford?

He's got a better than 1 in 3 goal ratio for United. 30 goals last season whilst in a team playing once every 3 days (at points) and isn't really classed as a forward per se. He's played under 4 (more if you class caretakers etc) different managers now. There's no doubting his talent but, like we have now, he's reverted to the lazy, disinterested, sulk of a player. 6 games in and there's just no excuse for his attitude. No chasing back, selfish on the ball, head down, no fight - so what's the problem?

He's absolutely superb on his day, NQAT but why does he have these spells of being utterly dismal? Is it the constant upheaval, the lack of being in a consistent team with the right manager? Make your excuses or stand by your man.

Actually, I've somehow £#%&!ed the poll up, so just post your thoughts.

It's damning but not the first time we've seen it. Then he'll come good and start banging the goals in. Should have hit the ground running this season but do we give him the benefit because the entire team is out of form? We haven't been able to field our best 11 yet either. But, he's looking like he's played 40 games already.

This.

Said last night, garnacho did more in five minutes than he did the whole night.

He’s a good player, who could be a great player if he put in 100% effort every game. His problem is, he thinks he’s a great player who doesn’t have to bother.

Think he needs benching… our wide players need more in their locker than a lot pace. He gives it away loads, can rarely beat someone unless it’s just a foot race and is a greedy so and so.

There’s a theory the whole club/squad feel let down by the lack of ambition shown in the summer. Similar to what happened under Mou and Ole, a good season and a hope/expectation of kicking on the next season only to see bare minimum investment in the summer. Demoralising the players.

Might be something in it.

Not sure with Rashford, do still wonder about fitness and them keeping it in the locker because they’re not fit enough to go full pelt for 90 minutes.

that's just pathetic. Doesn't look at all interested in helping his team mates out, just jogging about. Actually that's barely a jog.

he's putting in the exact same amount of off the ball effort as he did last season.

the only difference is he's not scoring goals.

We probably could've sold him and got Kane in the summer.

I think he's adjusting to not being the main man. He'll be a better player for it and will score more and assist more than he will trying to do it all himself. He's a huge talent. I think he's self-sabotaging thinking he has to try score wondergoals all the time.

It doesn't look like it.

Rooney was Everton through and through. I never saw him jogging around after he'd lost the ball though.

Pointing to his head like he's some mentality monster.

We're paying Rashford, Sancho and Maguire £1m a week. That's really bad.
