Thumbs down Transfer budget - £100m

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/socc...-for-transfers

According to ESPN sources.

Looks like Woody has been talking:

Sounds legit and would explain why we are fannying about and lowballing every club when it comes to valuations.

As if that's come from Woodward

The kind of guy who would sell you a bottle of piss to quench your thirst.

If we had only £100mil...we'd not spend £#%&!ing 50 on a young RB.

What will happen is, the money we get in won't all go on transfers.

We'll probably spend about £250mil this season but take in £120mil.

There's plenty who infest the stadium that would pay double for a top up

Key point in all of this. But agree, no one like Fernandes is coming till Pogba/Lukaku are gone.

did everyone really think they wouldn’t tighten the purse strings after we failed to get CL football yet again.

Viscous circle though because, if they do that, then we won't get back in there anytime soon and lose even more money. I think if we don't get CL the adidas deal pretty much halves?

If Woodward was a footballing man he would understand this concept but I honestly don't think he does.

Pogba, Lukaku and De Gea would raise around £175mil - £200mil on their own, and even getting rid of the rest of the deadweight at bargain bin prices would bring in at least £50mil.

Add the £100mil starting kitty on that of that, and we have around £325mil - £350mil to spend.

If any of this is true, then raising enough money to reinvest isn't the problem, it's relying on shifting the shit deadweight first before spending the money. We're going to be left pissing in the wind, desperately trying to offload to bring someone else in with only a couple of weeks left to go til the season starts.

We have the money, just £#%&!ing buy who we need to buy, and worry about selling our shite separately.

That’s about right
Lukaku money as well - he’s definitely off.

Think we’ll get a CB and two midfielders. Possibly a striker, although club might think we can manage without.
