I think Bale is brilliant, absolutely brilliant and would love him at United, however we could probably buy Depay, Draxler and Matuidi for the same outlay

Brilliant signing in the same way buying new pair of suede gloves would be before you'd got your broken arms fixed.

Or something.

Indeed. The type of British signing united always made prior to the glazers. When a proper class British player comes along, united should be the club signing them.

We're united, and for once the glazers are splashing the cash, so buying bale shouldn't prevent us signing the others.

Or really needing to do up your house but blowing loads of money on a pet chimp instead. That's admittedly really good at football.

Or something.

He would be a good signing but let's not blow all our funds on him and still have Evans,Jones and smalling at the back.

Defenders and a box to box CM first please

Nah He had the choice to join us last season and didn't take it.

Why should we take him now, just because they're fed up of him? He's a great player but I wouldn't satisfy Real by paying them 70m+ or whatever he's going to cost. We should go for Reus, Muller or Robben instead. Besides, we shouldn't blow our entire budget on Gareth Bale when we have the likes of Smalling, Jones and Evans at the back. Priorities please.

Agree with soriting the back out first but not robben as he had the chance 10 years ago and didn't take it and last thing we need is to become a retirement home(e.g.valdes)for him, ronnie and players like modric and benzima once madrid, barca and Byern have got fed up with them.

Let's get back to signing players hungry and on the up and want to play for us like rojo and DDG even though we may lose the odd one or two to the big continental clubs once they know they can get the same money along with nice weather
But if we can get 5 or 6 years out of them and move them on for decent money then thats fine as the one club players like Giggs and scholes are a rare find these days

'We will not listen to any offers for Bale no matter what the bid is. He is a unique player who has already given so much to the team. He is the key to the club's future, just like I cannot imagine a future without Cristiano Ronaldo.'
