Ive always bought the black shorts / socks with the home kit for my kids tbh. We like the City away look, always have.

We wore red socks from the mid 60s to early 70s, I don't think we've ever worn black shorts for our home kit, would be odd imo.

Some of the 90s kits had black versions of the home shorts. Like that Everton video posted earlier. The standard shorts were the same but white where they're black (and vice versa).

When the opponent are at home or deemed the home team on a neutral ground and they have white shorts we wear black to avoid a kit clash . Have done for as long as I can remember (so a week last Thursday) Its not brain surgery. Blackburn have BLUE socks so we can wear the white. RM have white socks so we have to wear the black.


Its our City away kit, as they have white shorts and socks, always has been.

I miss the days you could change shorts colour on PES Not sure why they got rid of that option, I'd always pick black for United.

We can wear what kit we like as long as it doesn't clash, I assume the white kit wasn't shifting as many units so they advertised it.
