Yep.

Erik could then stick to shuttle runs and head tennis, because finding and recruiting players doesn't appear to be his strong point.

We could have had the dream team

Ralf's "abysmal results" were no worse than this season, with an inferior team

Christ. That’s a damning assessment if true.

Why do you hate RR so much?

He came in with one hand tied behind his back and was faced by a shitshow of immense proportions z

It’s like the Titanic is sinking and they call in a maritime engineer 10 mins before it goes under. He’s not Doctor Strange. He can’t just mumbo jumbo stuff to save the day.

ETH was too arrogant to see RR could offer advice. Bad move.

Anyway, RR being here gave Zorg I think the great line, that Rangnick is short for Telephoned Nicholas and for that I’m in.

Of course he was right. Because What he said was blindingly obvious and he had just enough objectivity to not give a shit about saying it.

No surprise that he was ignored and sacked. Can’t have someone coming in and suggesting drastic change.

Another in an increasingly long line of people who couldn’t get anywhere with this set up.

Exactly…. but the usual clowns couldn’t cope with the truth and despite RR having zero budget, handed a squad who had downed tools and given a poisoned chalice with a temporary contract never had a chance. Fulfilled purpose, even futile as it was and got himself a nice little earner. Not advocating that he should have been given the job but like Mourinho, called out the culprits who the club continued to support. Some of them still remain and have Rashford and Sancho added to their numbers.

Yeah he was right and this could all have been avoided if Utd had actually appointed a proper Sporting Director back in 2013 when Gill stepped down. Maybe then Ancelotti or Jose would have replaced Fergie instead of Moyes. Pretty sure Guardiola had given word to Bayern and Klopp didn't want to leave Dortmund yet.

But all he had was the abysmal results

Ten Hag had a good season last year, and won a trophy. Do you not think that counts for anything?

Of course he was right

But it’s all a bit pointless if truth be told, because until we have owners who want to grow the football side of things it will always fall on deaf ears no matter who says it.

ETH wouldn’t have lasted this long if Ralf was kept on imo, because the players obviously hated him by the end (he called them for what they were so why wouldn’t they) and Erik had to distance himself knowing full well there wasn’t a chance in hell he’d be able to ship out the bad eggs (City style) and had to get them on side immediately.

I don't think I've ever seen a caretaker get pelters like this before. It's very very odd.

Of course he was right. He was a useless manager because he lacks any sort of people skills, but he knew his onions.

EtH got the job because he told the club he can work with what we have plus a few signings. But the reality is that he couldn't, nobody could.

That's an incredible stat.
ETH has managed 10 PL games this season and lost 5, and its getting worse.
By the time we play 24 games this season we'll probably have lost about 15.

Did anyone, ever, thing he was wrong?

But being right didn’t make him the man to lead us out of the wilderness (cue references to other threads galore ….)
