Football Our Rivals

How do you feel about 'us' vs our rivals these days? Let's be honest we've been royally spanked by both of them in recent times. Shocked, embarrassed...

Do we enter those games and hope we scrape a jammy 1-0 away noting we've been slapped all over the shop? I saw somewhere that our last 10 aways at Anfield have been something like 28-2 against?

How did it come to this? Do they pity us? If the shoe was on the other foot, would we pity them?

It's a very strange state of affairs. Hopefully ETH can make it all good with a 10-0 away win next season.

looking back it's a shame we very rarely @#%&!ted them about when we were on top and they were shit.

Liverpool have put 4 past us four times since 2021. we've scored 4 against them once in 50 years FFS

Depends who you mean by “rivals”. Have never, and never will, take City (if that is one of those you mean) that seriously.

Our performances against the main 2 have been beyond putrid in the main.

Seriously, 7-0, to that outfit? Still no idea how it happened.

I’ll always fancy us at home against them as even when out of form there’s always the chance of a nasty Old Trafford and a smash and grab. (I always feared that from Liverpool when the shoe was on the other foot etc)

This season Im just hoping neither of them comprehensively beat us.
We could give Liverpool a good rinsing at OT this season, who knows, they’ve lost experience and have a whole midfield to bed in.

once you've been 3-0 up after 25 minutes, with a far superior team, and still managed not to £#%&!ing win, your expectations drop.

we lost 7-0 last season. how many points ahead of them did we finish? I hope that 7-0 keeps them warm on thursday nights.

Whilst I take that point, that 7-0 will live forever, much like the 6-1 v City until we dish out similar hidings in return. That isn’t very likely to happen.

We’ve never scored four at Anfield or won by more than two goals there in my lifetime.
