I think we are missing a goal scorer off the bench not an all round 9 but someone who converts. ole or pea - not sure who's out there who fits the bill - maybe Defoe?

Until we can get more than one player scoring it's going to be difficult to achieve anything. When that one player plays poorly, a la today, we are £#%&!ed.

Quite.

As long as Mourinho keeps picking bogbrush and making bizarre square peg subs United will keep playing shit and dropping points against cannon fodder.

The last two matches were easily winnable without his crap management.

The only thing that can prevent us finishing top 4 is a couple of the wrong players getting injured.

In fairness to him you can't keep picking the same eleven every week. Our problem is that we have some quality in the squad now, but the support cast are still largely mediocre.

That's the position we need a signing. We're significantly worse without carrick and we need to address that.

I think we'd be ok without ibra given we have Rashford and Martial who can play there. Probably better than they play elsewhere.

We're playing well - very well at times. But it's the same problems occurring again and again. It takes so much huff and puff from this group of players to score one goal. I hope your unwavering chest-pumping optimism comes true but I'll stick to taking it one game at a time.

Looking forward to us drawing at home to Watford. The meltdown will be immense

You can though pal. It worked last season with Leicester, and as long as players are kept fresh when cup games come around, it can work for us too.
Playing Fellaini is completely unacceptable IMO. The substitutions were bizarre too.

Still unbeaten, the run continues etc. After Liverpool and today, we should've gone joint 2nd earlier. But that's all ifs and buts, we are where we are, and the team have done fantastially well to get back into a position to challenge the top 4.

I'm still happy.

If you look at Liverpool's fixtures over the same period and there's no excuse that we shouldn't be above them by the end of that run of games

Liverpool
Chelsea (h)
Hull (a)
Spurs (h)
Leicester (a)
Arsenal (h)
Burnley (h)
City (a)

Trouble then is we also need to climb above another team to break into the top four and looking at their fixtures they're not that difficult tbh, Arsenal you'd think are the likeliest to struggle

It never really works like though obviously and if we continue to drop points against shit like stoke it doesn't really matter what the teams above us do

Long ways to go yet, but we really need to take advantage of days like yesterday, knowing that Liverpool had all ready lost and that city were playing Spurs later in the day you'd have hoped the players would have been good enough to beat a piss poor stoke side.

Bit harsh to criticise picking Fellaini at Stoke tbf. One of the few places you'd expect him to get a run out, and considering they mustered 1 shit on goal to our 18 or whatever it was, while he was on the pitch, pointing the finger at him seems like he's just getting it because he's the whipping boy.

Same with Lingard. Tons of chances spurned, lad comes on with 10 minutes to go and hits the bar from 20 yards and everyone zeros in on him being shit as a reason we haven't won

It's an interesting run of fixtures, but hand on heart I don't think we'll be able to say for certain where we'll be until we've played them

It's the Sky mind, plant a thought in their heads and they are incapable of holding or considering any other thought, either simultaneously or in contrast. The trained mind of the modern consumer, applies to near everything.

Agree. The odd one for me was Mata. He was always going to find it tough. Rashford would have been a better option.

Subs I have no problem with either. Rooney and Lingard are good options to bring on. Neither should be starting games though.

It's £#%&!ing crazy. Their performances are deemed shit before they walk on the pitch, and how they actually perform matters not a jot. Works the other way round as well, some players are considered to have played well regardless of how shit they were

Smalling got it in the neck yesterday as well, for what I have no idea, he had £#%&! all to do
