Exclamation Wayne 'chubby' Rooney faster than Di María

Yesterday.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...ainst-QPR.html

And Herrera covered the most ground.

Not sure where this leaves Neoers tbh. On the other hand, delighted for MJ

Rooney is still fast.

That stat doesn't indicate how far the fastest sprints were, tho. Not sure Wayne would have covered the 75 yards di Maria did for the second goal quite as fast.

Those stats don't look right but that aside, it's not the speed that matters. It's the acceleration.

Di Maria would leave Rooney standing.

Plus Di Maria can take the ball with him at pace.

These were the people who said that valencia was faster than bale. In fact, valencia was apparently the world's fastest player.

It's just isolated top speeds from one game. I don't think there was much need for everyone to turn on the jets against QPR.

I assume these stats come from the GPS system, and if so, they're usually accurate.

I can do 18 mph over 10 yards, and haven't been fit since Jan 2013. You are under-estimating short bursts of pace.

Goalkeepers go from the goal line to 20-40 yards from goal three or four dozen times in a game. It's pretty much constant as the ball comes into their half and then leaves again.
