how many of them got categorically worse as time went and showed more regression than ever seen before as season 2 came to and end.

We went from 3rd to 6/7th and embarrassed almost weekly to the point we now all make fun of how bad we are.
you can’t point to one thing we are good at or shown improvement.
we are now worse that before he joined.

So it’s totally different. But yeah in your world we spent the 2nd half of lasts season being poor away from home, preseason we were shit, started the season now shit both and home and away, tossed out the ecl despite having an easy group and then continued to get worse and embarrassed ourselves past Newport and Coventry in the fa cup and now a hot streak of being as bad if not worse that any team we play.

But yeah besides that…. It’s all in the process.

I’d say going from finishing 5th to 8th shows it wasn’t a linear progression to success. I hope this helps, but I don’t expect it to.
