Those lucky enough to be there tonight will experience a great atmosphere, San Mames is a lovely old ground. Bilbao have already started work on it's replacement and the current stadium will be knocked down next season. Gutted I had to miss this one tbh, despite not giving shit about the actual game.

he was like that after the game at old trafford, said he'd think about playing ferdinand but didn't want to upset the league programme.

let's be honest, this is a competition that the likes of everton and villa couldn't wait to be out of ffs. i'll enjoy the game tonight but if we lose and go out i'll be about as bothered as if we'd lost the charity shield. it's all about the league.

i've never seen a game there but visited the stadium a few years back. proper ground, be surprised if the new one is a patch on it tbh.

It isn't. A very generic 'bowl' design:



It's being built right next to the current ground, you can see the site on the left:



Interestingly, the new ground will be partially built, before they knock down the old one. They'll then play in the new ground as it's completed:
