They need to do more.

It doesn't matter how much you piss one season, it's just one domestic season. No CL, No FA Cup.

They have to follow it up.

People bang on about the Invincibles (who were Invinced 4 times that season) but they fell away the next season and haven't been seen since.

They won't cruise next season like they did this season.

Its ridiculous we even talk about them being a great side before we even got a the measure of one whole season, never mind the perspective of 2 or 3 seasons.

£#%&!ing hell, how quickly did they move off of the subject of the derby?

They had a 15 minute forensic examination of Mourinho on there the other week, where they debated how he's utterly awful. The only one sticking up for Mou was £#%&!ing Custis!

This morning they barely managed 10 mins about the result yesterday then quickly moved onto harping on about City's bus being smashed up! Unbelievable.

If City had won that yesterday we'd have been treated to a 20 minute sermon about how wonderful Guardiola is and the Abu Dhabi UK Franchise branch.

It's a narrative now.

I honestly didn't think they were anything special first half yesterday. First from a set piece and the second we were out of shape after an error kick out from DDG.

Up til the goal, there wasn't much happening.

After that, we were ragged and open. Which happens to most teams when they get hit in quick succession.

Described on sky sports news as a masterclass

Tyler: "that's Manchester City and that's why they're the best."

After the second goal.

After Pogba first goal. Easily the best goal of the day,

"It's a nicely worked goal from Manchester United"

Just commentary on the goal. No further pandering as to what it signifies. As it should be.

City have had a terrible week. They've been badly exposed. They've shipped 3 goals in a 15 minute spell yesterday and a 30 minute spell at Anfield. Each team really getting at their weaknesses.

Exactly.

"The fact they got to a final means they're the true winners and the best side in England"

"Klopp's 6 finals lost in a row doesn't tell the full story"

"Liverpool could win the treble next season"

"the whole country cried when Salad fingers went off injured"

Here we go, king of the supplement scum Ollllllieeee...

Yup Ollie, i still lay in bed at night thinking of the achievements of our two final loses to Barca.

It's all different next year. This was all new to them and they were on such a roll and Let's be honest the Roma draw was so kind to them. Next year he'll be under pressure to repeat the trick, and if (and sweet Jesus it better not) it doesn't come so easy it could get interesting.

Innit.

I'm not 100% sure what years the 2 finals against Barca were ffs. They're all gonna be lying to themselves.

An "astonishing" run that included beating the champions of Slovenia, the 3rd best team in russia, a rubbish porto team from a terrible Portuguese league, the 3rd best team in Italy and topped off by being beaten by the 3rd best team in spain.

At no stage did those spawny scouse @#%&!s actually play the champions of anywhere relevent. despite being in the champions league.

Yeah how astonishing.

Draw already made, gotta beat Hoffenheim over 2 legs.

Will Salah play as well next season? after a long season and world cup in the summer?....if he doesn't then they'll finish exactly where they did this season....no cups and made 4th place because there was zero challenge from chelsea & arsenal....both who will surely do better.

Flopp finished with more points last season ffs....for all the football they're meant to have played, Brenda scored more goals and got more point than "He's not won it 6 times laaaaa kloppers"

So actual champions don't get in directly, but fourth placed teams from richer leagues do?

What a load of shite this tournament is

On tv last night in the studio they said "and they still need to beat Hoffenheim to get back in it"

They must have messed up.

Thinking about it, had they won last night they'd auto be in it, so a draw being made would have been stupid.
