It’s no excuse. Smalling was taking air shots in the first couple of minutes and Lindelof for the goal was cowardly. Regardless of what is happening elsewhere your centre halves are your base and they are supposed to lead and organise.

Just like at Wembley, ours have looked a bag of nerves from day one. Not to say everything else is fine. As I said the whole team is £#%&!ed. We are utterly shite.
