Its just one of those things - very bad luck - but for all the fact that most people on here could argue the toss about anything, there can be few who would argue the back four would not look more solid with Oshea in the middle allowing Wes to play right back or even vice versa.

We'd have more in the air with Wes/OShea/Evans than with Fabio or Nev.

We'd have more pace and strength.

Oshea even represents have a better option for bringing the ball out of defence and passing it than Wes/Evans.
Are you related to O'Shea?

If it wasnt so tragic, its almost funny how some people were trumpeting Wes' case when he wasnt getting a game. Some people said things like he's the best centre-back at the club etc.

sometimes I think that some people have complete goldfish memories when it comes to injured/transferred players. even putting the words 'o'shea' and 'passing' in the same sentence gives me terrible flashbacks.

It is the same with hargreaves, who you would think played like ronaldo when he was fit by some of the comments on here. and I remember when nicky butt was sold on, and pip neville - people saying how much better we would be if they were still in the team.

I mean really, pace and strength? o'shea? that isn't even debatable. it is offensive.

Fergie always trots out the old confidence-boosting line when Brown is making his latest comeback from a year out injured

"He's the best natural defender at the club".

No he £#%&!ing isn't. He is an accident waiting to happen and his positional sense couldn't be worse if you blindfolded him.
