Right, so now we've narrowed down our targets (i.e players under 26 and serbian midgets) who is actually out there?

There are plenty of available World class players who are under 26, apparently.

excellent. Let's get out there and get them then. Then after 4 years when they're fulfilling their potential, Real Madrid can come to buy them off us and reap the fruits of our labour! Excellent! Everyone's a winner!

My football knowledge is wide and varied my friend. The fact remains that there is a dearth of talent out there at the minute, hence the scramble and ridiculous prices for average players.

We'll just be having Valencia then. Great. It's like selling a nuclear submarine and replacing it with a humvee.

That's fine, as long as you aren't planning to go under water.

Under water is an analogy for success in this case.

Football doesn't work like that.

You're a hypocrite, you call Madrid for having that attitude, yet that's exactly how you think.

Fwiw I think Valencia was gonna be bought even if Ronaldo stayed.

what attitude? an attitude that selling the best player in the world and not finding an adequate replacement is a bit daft?

You just ridiculed United and Valencia 'cos United want him. As I said I think he was going to be bought by Untied even if Ronaldo stayed. You're attitude is, sell a big player, our replacement has to be a big player. I agree to some extent, but it doesn't have to be a winger. For me we just need a big name in. Valencia is a good player and will develop well at United. But your logic is the same as Madrid's, something you call them for all the time.

Do you not trust Fergie?

Just calling somebody a hypocrite on a football forum discussing football.

Just about to go and make my dinner, I'm relaxed tbf.

I would trust Fergie implicitly. If i left him in a room with a nice, big, chocolate cake and he said he wont eat it - i would trust him.

No, madrid's logic is - buy all the best players, no matter the cost.

mine is "ffs please buy someone who can score us 25 goals next season. Please."

Valencia will not do that.
