Spot on. Don't get why anyone would moan about this, United have always operated like this really. The article doesn't say we won't be signing anyone over 27, it says we won't be paying big money for anyone over 27. We may still buy 1-2 experienced players who are cheaper over the next few years, like we have done in the past.

Most big stars are under 27 anyway.

Bearing in mind this 'Over 25' rule, how many 'Big' signings are actually open to us?

Benzema - 21
David Silva - 23?
Fabregas - 22
De Rossi - 25 (Borderline)
Aguero - 20
Ben Arfa - 21
Torres - 24
Agbonlahor - 21
Young - 23
Tevez - 25
Robinho - 24

any more?

When you consider that the majority of the list above are no-goes for one reason or another, you see the problem we have atm.

I personally am hoping United's scouts have been working damn hard and there a few unknowns coming to the party.

Being loaned out because he wasn't as good as we'd hoped?

I remember that. About a month into his first season wasn't it.

Yep, was after the Carling Cup game against Coventry. Would be stuck in the reserves, loan back to Porto, year off the pace etc.....

A week later he had that stormer against Wigan.

Erm....isn't this always the way we have conducted business?

Berbatov is an exception to the rule, being a big money signing over the age of 26.

I can only think Mr Taylor had nothing else to write about.

That's exactly the point. He did the same thing with the anderson story.

they all do it tbh.

how the £#%&! does he know anything about transfer policy? he doesn't. that article could have been banged together with a list of our last 20 transfers and the players dob's.

maybe putting this out there into media make believe land is a good way for United to rubbish about 50% of the %@#$&!s these @#%&!s write and still sticking to the club policy of very rarely responding to speculation

Taylor was banned from OT at one point, so the idea that he's ITK enough to get details of our wider transfer policy is pretty laughable.

I thought that.

I was going to post it but wasn't 100%

Was it after that article saying united were finished etc and slagging carrick etc?

we certainly have a strange transfer policy at the moment.

'sell best player, replace him with winger from wigan'.
