The whole thing is a £#%&!ing joke anyway. Somebody showed me a "Best XI" of all the balon d'or winners ever that some website had selected. Considering only two defenders and one keeper has ever won it it's a bit of a £#%&!ing moot point really.

Yeah, ballon d'or used to be European but they merged it with the world player of the year. So he has a Ballon d'or to his name but back then it was just European.
