Yes, and the 3 sackings and (possible) 2 relegations within the man’s 6 year United contract only emphasise the missed opportunity.

Gill stays on 12 months and Moyes keeps the same backroom staff for the first year would have improved his chances of a successful transition. Would have helped with the main issues he faced. You know, actually follow the stability excuse they used to hire him in the first place. Instead both club and manager went with the nuclear option.

It was Moyes that changed the backroom staff against advice and the club's wishes.

Wouldn't have mattered what they did, he's £#%&!ing shit.
