Hearing Raiola insisted he only play against bottom half teams.

Given that our downfall last season was being held to draws by rubbish, this may be missing the point slightly

I think we all know city are better off this year than last.

City will drop points obviously, but so will we. We have left ourselves very little room for error now.

United will finish at least 10 points behind city whether they win the league or not.

So given we are second in the league that must go for everyone else presumably

Top of champions league group. Lost two league games and 2nd in the league. Fa cup not even started. Too late.

I have no idea how some people on here would have coped during fergie’s first 4 years in charge. Not to mention the many years of shit prior. United probably had 4 decent years during my lifetime prior to fergie winning the cup winners’ cup.

Dodger, if the dippers were where we are in the league having played the games we’ve played and had the same results we’d be pointing out what a false position they’re in, having only managed a good result against one half decent side out of the 5 faced, and having benefitted from the most accommodating start they could possibly have asked for; 6 consecutive games against shit teams or teams in flux and about to lose their manager (3 of the sides we have beaten have changed manager thus far). We’d also be pointing out that freefall was imminent..

Can’t knock the CL performance tbf. It’s about getting through and winning the group. It’s dull as £#%&! these days and nobody cares until April.

Best performance so far this season, for me, was 2nd half v Spurs, but that was purely for the intensity and effort, certainly not the football. The old adage ‘you can only beat what’s in front of you’ only works if you’re not just beating shit.

How many games did Liverpool go without a win? How many shit teams couldn't they beat? How many did City tank them by? Awful start to the season.

And yet they sit just four points behind us in the league
