Our current deal with Adidas wasn't due to finish until 2025 and this 10-year deal doesn't finish until 2035 so this new one isn't actually replacing the current one.

Might Adidas be putting some cash our way to help finance our summer spending? It might help explain why we've gotten deals done before selling anyone of note

Imagine what we could have gotten were it not for our 'dwindling reputation'.

the thing is honestly costs you nothing .

take your love for the club out the picture and look at thjngs objectively
.

about a decade now we haven’t won the league or champions league.
meanwhile Chelsea have collect 2 of each , Liverpool 1 league and 2 ECL’s, city 5 leagues and 1 ECL.
our two biggest rivals thrash is embarrassingly at least twice a season every season for the last 3/4 seasons while we nick sparodic tight wins against them now and again
we are not synonymous with success.
The only table we top is spending as we are right up there again this summer while already saying “just a little progress would be great”

that’s not the ruthless spirit we used to have and admitting that doesn’t take away my support.

So yes we are dwindling in terms reputation from success point of view.

Most of our children (my generation) don’t know United as a successful club.
We don’t challenge for titles, we don’t play the best football we are just everything else but for how much longer

Season is about the start, we are up there with maybe the top 2/3 spenders over the last 2/3 windows yet we can’t even say with our chest we will challenge with the league.

But yeah new adidas deal, we are the shit.
roll on April we will be praying real successful big clubs knock our rivals out the ECL. It’s embarrassing for me to be honest

Yep, for the last 15 years the board have made horrific decisions, they’re finally making good decisions and acting with some degree of smarts and somebody wants them to go back to making the same stupid decisions they’d been previously making

Manchester United are box office brother.

26 years without winning the league didn't change that.
31 years without winning the European Cup didn't change that.
Being in division 2 didn't change that.
A few fallow years post Fergie won't change that.
Any footballer who knows football wants to play here.

We're the best supported club in England.
We're the best supported club in the world.
We're all people want to read about.
How else could an absolute melt like Goldbridge have 1.2m subs?

If it's so embarrassing, go do something else.

Manchester United aren't synonymous with success? Come on now, lets not be silly.

we may not have the team we had under Ferguson, but we're still the biggest draw in this country by a mile. That's why we generate all the online interest and all the tv viewership. Don't let a load of generation Z tik-tok zombies fool you into thinking otherwise.

We've been run pretty poorly over the last 10 years and trophies haven't been very forthcoming but that's what happens when a club experiences prolonged periods of unbelievable success as we did for 20 years, everything else feels like failure.

City will find that out too once Guardiola calls it a day.

I feel for you.

Obviously the first question the club should ask itself before it does anything should be “but how will Marlo feel about it?”.

Maybe find a club that does?
