He turns 28 during the summer...that will be the excuse when we don’t sign him

Think he'll stay at Spurs.

If there's any chance we could sign the Premier League's top scorer, top assister and a bloody good pre-assister, then we should definitely try.

I just can’t see Spurs letting him go, they just can’t afford to.

Tbf they seem desperate for money and getting p/x makes sense as anyone they try and bid for will just throw a load more on the asking price when Spurs come sniffing with the Kane money. It would be a great deal all round (for us and Kane).

If he wants to go enough, he will go. And handing in a transfer request suggests that he does, and will.

Wayne Rooney handed in a transfer request to a skint club in piles of debt and didn’t leave.

Well that's mainly because SAF soon managed to talk him out of it. Who is the equivalent at Spurs who is going to do that?

City will sign Haaland instead. Utd can't afford him, Chelsea isn't an option so he'll end up stuck at Spurs or will go to Aston Villa.

With the best will in the world... harry kane is 28, he wants to win big things now. Why the £#%&! is he going to want to come to United and wait for us to get our act together for god knows how long?

It's far more pressing that we sign a proper centre half next to maguire and a central midfielder who isn't average.

They can afford to pay him more than they can afford to replace him.

If this was 90s United, Fergie would be all over this. The best of British. Not anymore though. We don’t make signings like this. We can’t afford them and we’re not the top dogs.
