whenever we went behind that season, which was quite often, you just knew he'd work his magic for us pulled us out of the shit so many times.

that goal against city was just incredibly cathartic. felt so good after all that happened the previous season. not only did we break the hearts of city fans, but also the hearts of abu's up and down the country too.

last truly great player we signed? a few of the current lot have potential to take that title, but as it stands i'd say so.

He had 3/4's of a great season. Sadly the 1/4 he was having a dip coincided with the knock out rounds in Europe, the chances he missed over those 2 legs against Madrid That Nani red card should not have mattered.

Seems like a £#%&!ing eternity ago.

Coming up nearly a decade since Moscow as well.

Today's market that's a billion dollar team.

Easy to say Brown was a weak link but he did great setting up the Ronaldo goal.

That team had everything and never mind the front 3, that midfield 3 would make even Jem happy.

Was never the weak link for me.....always rated Wes, stalled only through injury..

Wasn't this the season where he played nearly every game..

He deserved this...

I bet he flys Ryanair "

Loved a good tackle did Wesley

Was a much better full back than he was a centre back.

Wes was £#%&!ing ace that season, balanced the attacking effervesence of Patrice with a reliable, hard hitting side to the defence.

Laughable to think England didn't build its team around United then.

6 English lads there - throw in Terry, A Cole, Lampard from Chelsea and England should have done much better at the tournaments.

Go back further and you could have had Neville, Beckham, Butt, Scholes, Sheringham, Cole. Fair to say that there have been some monumental £#%&! ups from England managers.
