No chance of them resting in peace when an endless succession of people are willing to use their memories just to try get a few hits on their social media. For shame.

You just knew he'd be the first to post the R.I.P thread

Just need Mark G in on the act now banging on about Duncan Edwards

Excellent video tbf. Probably mentioned it before but the shock of hearing the news sent my grandma into labour with my mum, so she's 57 tomorrow.

ENDS.

"We share your pain"

Appreciate that tbh. Twisted my ankle running the other night and I have had the odd spot of blood appear when wiping my bum recently which tbf isn't painful particularly, just a bit disconcerting. Thinking about it, maybe 'we share you slight disconcernment when wiping your bum' would have been more accurate.

Thanks lads.

This anniversary doesn't stir my emotions one bit I am afraid. My mum gets upset about it because she remembers.

Don't like people dying obviously, but we wouldn't be so well known around the world without it happening.

Sixty Seconds of Silence by Mike Garry

Hold your tongue
Speak not ill of the dead
Find your own silence inside
Seeking only the truth
That boys in their prime perished that night
And the very heart of this city stopped beating
Manchester flowers
Scattered across a foreign field of powder white snow

News hissed through
Like the gas on a cooker whose flame had blown out
Freckled faced paperboys on Peter St and Piccadilly
Cried louder than they had ever cried before

Sons were lost
Mother’s sisters and wives deep sighed
Dads and brother died inside
And red and blue stood side by side by side
In silence
Because silence is so much louder than applause

Social media monkeys would do well to remember the last line.

I got this off social media btw.

bit combative. jars a bit with the rest of the poem, to be honest.
