Scholes hasn't done owt wrong this season and has been one of our better players so far.He earns his place in the starting 11.

Giggs looks £#%&!ed imo, but he's still an important player. Some of the shite spouted about him makes my @#%&!ing blood boil.

That's just not good enough. He should have at least 15, 5 European Cups, 8 Fa Cups, 6 League Cups and a record deal with Simon Cowell after winning the X-Factor.

Could be because he's hardly played since Xmas and we have Sporting and Chelsea coming up. You never know.

Pretty amazing that we've won any games at all, what with all the has-beens in the team, with our squad still full of terrible players, with our shocking tactics, our poor coaching and our useless manager.
Been in training for ages and looked fine against Sunderland. Surely its better to start him and have the option of taking him off rather than taking the risk we did.

And to be fair, our tactics have been questionable this season, playing an unfit Tevez on his own up front, 3 in midfield when it wasn't needed, having a non-existent threat down the right, playing O'Shea up front against Reading (that was shocking) etc and we've rode our luck against Spurs.

He's been out a while so it makes more sense easing him into games rather than throwing him at the deep end which could have an adverse effect.

Virtually everything you mention has been caused by injuries, suspension and allowing players to settle in rather than any real tactical decisions.

We weren't forced into playing 3 man midfields when we did, when Simpson was out Hargreaves could have played at right back, or even tried Pique or Evans, Campbell should have come on instead of O'Shea against Reading.

No support for Tevez was the main thing though.

Its true, we shouldn't expect it all to click straight away, can see your point about Saha, but like I said, he had 45 minutes against Sunderland, + training, I don't think it would have been a huge risk to start him.

If it was a risk not to start him then it worked because we won. Move on.

Don't rate Campbell at all. See Blake. Will have a decent career elsewhere IMO but not at Utd.

Anyone have any iea when Simpson is back? Hoping he gets a run out against Coventry but he;s had a hernia op and there's been no mention of his recovery time.

I like scholes and giggs actually. But everyone has a time. I am not saying sell them. Because they are sometimes brilliant.

All I was suggesting was just don't play them because they are seniors irrespective of the form.

regarding scholes comment about dropping back too deep, he doesn't do it out of necessity. He does it because he likes it. He likes to get the ball in centre circle and spread it out. But he just makes carrick redundant with the fact that its carrick job. so many times already this season we have seen scholes and carrick near the centre circle 3 yards apart with the ball at scholes feet.

Last year they dovetailed so nicely. Don't know what has happened but scholes spends all his time near the centre circle nowadays and that too with us having almost all of the possesion.

Yup, Scholes was our best player on Satdee for £#%&!s sake. As for Giggs, he was given an impossible task, playing as a support striker to a non-existant forward. Fact is when all are firt Giggs is gonna get less games this season as his career winds down. Scholes though is still a mainstay of our team. As to Carrick not being allowed to play long passes 'cos Scholes won't let him, 2 points. Firstly he should grow a set lof balls and start demanding the ball and using it as he wants, Hargreaves does and he's only been at the club a coupla months. Secondly, who would you have liked Carrick to pass to "long" we were playing our new 4-6-0 formation again.

They dovetailed very nicely on Saturday too. Both played well.

Season after season it's always the £#%&!ing same, scapegoat after scapegoat.

Giggs for all his shit form this season has been pissed about, playing in one position after the other. He played as the £#%&!ing target man on Saturday. But I guess some folk would be happy to have Eagles or Martin in the 16 ahead of Giggs. They're young blah blah blah....

Bedders - Tevez played the number 10 role on Saturday and played very well. Giggs, for some £#%&!ing reason, was asked to 'lead the line'. Go figure. Bizarre tactics.

No that would be silly, I suggest we play him until he no longer deserves his place in the team. Now consideringf Saha still can't get his arse on the pitch I'm not sure what else could've been done but to play Giggs and to be honest he deserves credit for at least trying to play a role he is totally unsuioted to these days. Easier to slate him though eh?
