Indeed. They didn't cope that well without Lewa that's for sure.

Not sure how anyone can predict how well Klopp will do. Many things there look to suit him, but we haven't seen him outside Germany. Dortmund were a great side, but they were super intense in German football, where there are fewer league games, one domestic cup during the season and a month winter break.

It also blew up spectacularly last season. Whether he'll be able to sustain that intensity consistently in England, or indeed have the tactically versatility to adapt it, remains to be seen.

Hope he fails and eventually dies a broken, lonely man.

Heir Klopp might just bring in a few superhuman Germans, who are more suitable to English footy and he just might make Liverpoor a decent side. Hope I'm wrong, I've enjoyed the last twenty odd years seeing Liverpoor struggle.

A more level-headed view here:

Reinforces my suspicions that he's a bit of a one-trick pony.

Yes, I've noticed this. "Why klopp and Liverpool are a match made in heaven"

This I do not get, what makes them a match made in heaven? Klopp is a likeable looking guy (or was), charismatic and confident, whereas Liverpool are club entrenched in a culture of self pity with a mythical yet non existent aura about them that is pedalled by ex scouse pundits and media luvvies.
I guess the latter is the reason.

So it seems he's only gone there as he wasn't given any assurances Guardiola will leave Bayern next summer.

I hope Pep announces he's not renewing as Klopp is paraded next Friday.

Because the media is full of scouse fans. Because the rest of the media is shit scared of offending Liverpool fans as they're batshit insane. Because klopp touched the this is anfield sign.

Goes without saying that Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Utd (especially Utd) fans are SHITTING themselves according to rawk but so are the Barca, Madrid and Bayern fans too.

I guess they all know the redmen are coming up the hill again :shakehead:

Mental @#%&!s. Hope Klopp has a heart attack on the touchline 96 seconds into his first game.
