He has a clause that if Bayern fail to qualify for the Champions League, we get to sign him for 50p and a Mars bar.

No but they are hardly in a position of strength to negotiate. They'll be short of cash with the loss of revenue they'll suffer and obviously need to rebuild considering what a poor season they've had.

Which probably means they will try very hard to keep one of their better players (remember he missed the 1st half with his broken leg; a reason they aint done too well?) and if he leaves, then they will try and get us to plug the gap in the finances missing out on the ECL will create by charging us far too much....

Err, they've already accepted that he's gonna leave so your first point is moo*. As to your 2nd point that's what I'm saying though, they can try harder to shaft us but we will be in aposition knowing they need cash, so we are in a position of strength. If they try to overcharge, we can walk away and they are left with a very unhappy player, no CL and no finances.

*That's deliberate, cows opinion.

Ofcourse. I don't think a shit season can ever benefit the selling club.

I'd be very suprised if he's not a United player by August.

How much did we pay for Rio Ferdinand and where were Leeds in the League at the time?
