Football EURO 2016 tournament. Easily, in my opinion, the greatest international tournament in my life time

Mexico 86 was the first tournament I can picture, not been a World Cup as decent as this....

It's had the lot..

The actual football there was mostly terrible, though.

1982 and 1986 - now you're talking.......

What an awful tournament, really boring football.

Euro 2000 or 2008 for me.

Not many stand out games. Tonight obvs, Spain Croatia, a couple of others. Enjoyed it a lot but wouldn't say it's been brilliant every night. Last weekend was interminable, was almost bored of football

Can't think of any better tournaments though as my memory is shit.

Needs more vuvuzelas.

Portugal v Hungary was a cracker, as was Belgium getting a shoeing off the Italians. Wouldn't say it's been the best tournament of our lifetime though. Or even the best Euro's..

Wales and Iceland are cracking stories but aside from that it's been dull

My favourite would probably be '98, the Holland, Argentina and Brazil teams were brilliant

It will always be Italy 90 for me. The football was cycnical yeah, but it just carried a huge aura and that tournament looked like life and death for a lot of the teams involved.

Euro 2000 for me, best tournament in my lifetime, some absurdly deep squads that year with world class players at or near their prime. Look at France ffs, Vieria, Lizarazu, Pires, Barthez, Desailly, Petit, Anelka, Henry, Djorkaeff, Thuram, Karambeu, Trezeguet, Deschamps, Zidane.

Italy had Del Piero, Totti, Cannavaro, Nesta, Maldini, Inzaghi, Albertini. The Dutch had a great squad, Portugal were a threat with Rui Costa and Figo, even England despite a shit tournament had a very talented group.

We do not have that now, feels like we are between generations with the older stars past their best years and a dearth behind them.

this tournament has been a bit shit, tbh. a couple of open games and obvs the wales and iceland "stories" (wales marginally more attractive to watch than greece), but all the big players look knackered, as usual. international football is shite, though, so expectations are low. all the johnny big %@#$&!s can't be arsed. bale doesn't even look good playing for wales.

missing the dutch infighting too. and the danes.

soz.

can't remember many tournaments that weren't better. all the older ones had star players.

Been very average imo.

Best tournament was the last World Cup in Brazil.
Brazil getting their arses handed on a plate by Germany being the highlight.
