That's a base salary though as sparky said he'll be £100k +

Does he have kids ? Is he moving his family over there...

It's pure greed imo...

Same as engineers over here. Can earn £55-£75k working in Warrington or go to Saudi for £200-£250k tax free ad everything paid for.
I've been recruiting in Saudi for the 18 months, a lot of the people i've placed have taken their kids and live in Jeddah (seen as the most westernised city).
Behind the compound walls they do everything they would do over here but in the sunshine

tbh if anyone off here was offered that kind of money to go live in Saudi they'd consider it.

exactly.

Hilariously enough when I was in my early 20s i was offered a job on a oil rig 3 months on the rig and 3 months off. The money was about 60k a year but I thought £#%&! that, can you imagine me on a £#%&!ing oil rig working in an office?

Looking back now I wish i'd have done it for 4 years and trousered all the cash and lived at my parents house in the 3 months off....could have bought a £#%&!ing house by the time i'd finished.

You don't have to move to the "ME" for four years any more it's not the 80's. better quality of life, better education system, health care, weather, 7 hours from UK.....

Not sure about Saudi as an option though.
