Young Daniel Gore hasn’t put a foot wrong when played. Hannibal available too… and that’s beside Mainoo. No excuse repeatedly picking the same useless wasters. Neither might be the answer but they both get involved, unlike others who have repeatedly shown that we’re as good as a man down … ie Beek, Martial, McTom etc

Mainoo and Casemiro, it is the way it has to be until the end of the season.

(or at least until their 2 + goals up)...despite my liking for Eriksen.

Mainoo isn't a DM. Soz maggers.

He's more of an eriksen replacement, number 8 role or whatever the £#%&! you call it. Just a proper CM. Hesitate to call him box to box because he actually doesn't do that much defensively.

Doesn’t do that much defensively??

He’s plenty smart enough to play as a DM, even if that’s not where he ends up.

Apart from just before the thread started when he was calling The Scottish Player undroppable, and arguing the point quite vociferously.

Whip's made some horrible calls recently. I'm actually worried for him.

Where did I say he isn't smart enough to play as a DM I said in ETH's system he isn't primarily utilised as a DM - he's more central or, arguably, 'box to box'. For example, this is his heat map against wigan:

https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/c...an_last_night/

Showing him pushed up and primarily on the right hand side.

I'd ask for examples but coming from someone who thinks Dalot is a good footballer, it's probably not worth it.

Whoah, whoah, whoah!!! Saying after a 2 goal haul that he should be starting the next game, IS NOT the same as saying he was 'undroppable'.

My lawyers are watching.

BUT - He’s doing more and is far more defensively minded than any of the two most deep lying 3 midfielders combo we’ve played before.

So, if we want to be pedantic, to refine what Maggers was on about, he could and perhaps should have said ‘play 2 more able and capable defensively minded players’ which is something we’ve definitely not done or had before.

Yes I belive we did & it still did'nt do us any good but that was mainly down to our so-called Goal keeper handing out early Christmas presents to the turks that night!

Yes we have, we played Casemiro and Amrabat together, and it was an absolute shitshow.
