Switching Off

Thumbs up Patrick McNair

Could be time to shine for Paddy if nobody else is coming in

Good young player and miles better than all bar Rojo back there on the ball already.

Obviously gets dismissed because he didn't cost £30m off FC Twitter

He looked absolutely hopeless when he came on against Barca
Like his ambition but trying to dribble past the entire Barca team might be a bit beyond his ability

Can't see him or Blackett having any chance of becoming regular first 11 players at Utd

As Ziggy said, he does take responsibility on the ball, but he's not very talented a footballer. Doesn't look a great defender either, tbh.

Apart from that, high hopes for the lad.

I can't believe that Hummels and Garcia were the only two centre backs in world football who would have improved us. We can't get the caviar so we stick with the pork scratchings?

One-gif sageing, pal? Surely not

Above is what is known in the game as a good header. It does not make you Alessandro Nesta.

The thing about McNair and Blackett is that they weren't even the best defenders in the U21s
Michael Keane and Tom Thorpe were better

Don't think any of them are good enough to make it here but I do think 2 from our U18s in Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu Mensah have a great chance of being regular central defenders for us in the future

These are your sages...?

Maybe he'll be the next Johnny Evans, anything is possible, but to not see his potential at this stage is bizarre.

Clearly Van Gaal does.

Sounds a bit like you're having a dig there. I shouldn't make a habit of that. I might get the wrong idea and destroy you like I do Ginners.
