Some people want it to be black & white, he's a soft fat @#%&! blah, blah... £#%&! him off. But he can be both a bit soft & talented. Sometimes the penny drops, sometimes kids grow up. Sometimes this does happen on it's own, the Ronaldo stories about him coming back from the Euros after Rooney got sent off - he grew up on his own, his mentality changed as he was both indulged / coaxed along & his own maturity kicked in. Shaw's no Ronnie, obviously, but he's an expensive asset with a lot of talent who could play here for a long time if managed correctly in conjunction with growing some %@#$&!s of his own. Or sell him, buy someone else. Game of opinions innit. |

If it's ligament damage, if the scan confirms it, Mourinho has bigger issues than the on field bollix we see week in and week out.
How long has this been happening at this club? 8 or 9 years? We seem to get massive £#%&!ing injury lists and major injuries every year, since about 2009. Is it the medical staff? Conditioning of the players not right? It's been happening since Fergie's time |

Conditioning is about a lot of things - type of training (controlled by united), commitment and attitude to training, weight, body composition etc (not really anything directly controlled by the club). If it's ligament damage it probably doesn't help that his ankles and kness are holding up a frame too big for them..... But anyway, back to the point - since fergie there's been 3 completely separate back team staff setups with presumably 3 different approaches. They can't cater for injuries to el bumberclots like jones and smalling. Pogbas played a ridiculous amount of games which has a bearing on his hammy or whatever muscle it was that went. It's not the 'clubs' fault and I can't see it being likely that we just happen to have had 3 piss poor medical teams/coachs which seems to be what you're inferring. It's no huge surprise the amount of injuries given the relative lack of squad rotation. You can debate all day long about the reasons for the lack of rotation but there it is. |

Seem to recall Valencia struggling a fair bit for a while after coming back from his horror injury, had a decent spell immediately after his return, then started picking up niggles and further injuries for a good while, losing form and confidence, before eventually getting back to being useful.
Vidic too IIRC. |

he was playing almost every game up until then as well attitude is everything to Mouinho and some players obviously haven't got what it takes (our english defenders) |

A succession of small injuries is hardly a surprise in the aftermath of recovery from a major one. With the majority of players this would be accepted, if frustrating. Shaw however, has already had his professionalism questioned by his previous manager. That sets him apart from Smalling and Jones, they have played under a number of different managers, can not recall their commitment being called into question before.
