Barthez was the best keeper in the league in his first season, he was absolutely brilliant at times.

Shouldn’t be on the list, sorry.

Agreed. He was good for most of his time here. Just went very bad very quickly.

Ben Foster disappeared up his own arse.

Jonny Evans wilted. Started so well and was decent for a good while, but went to pieces.

because, after a while, opposition players just started to hit the ball over head height. didn't he get lobbed three times in one game? was it real?

Tbh I can’t remember that much detail. I remember he started £#%&!ing about on the ball more and more, and got caught out a few times. Fergie didn’t like it. Goodbye Fabien

Because his form went to shit. Then confidence goes, of course. But that can happen to the best. It wasn’t like he showed up and it just didn’t seem like he had it in him. He had plenty of confidence, personality, played well initially…it just went wrong after that.

That game at Highbury sticks in the mind. Think we lost 3-1. Gold kit. Took the lead and then he made two horrendous errors and cost the game. He looked like he was done right there and then.

Started wearing his socks higher up on his knees. It started going wrong from that point. Britney Spears ruined him basically.
