It really does need a full rebuild, not a chance these tight @#%&!s will go down that route. They'll spruce the exec seats up and put some more red led on the roof.

It will be 2032 before this goes anywhere anyway.

If they are willing to reuse the seats and most of the bricks, I reckon I could knock up a new build for 40 grand.

50 if you want the team to rise up out of the pitch pre kickoff

Looks feasible from that graphic, I suppose. Would make attending the game an absolute ball ache for a bit. Talking £600m+ though you’d have thought.

The smaller stadium is smaller than the current OT pitch

Revamped or demolish?

I’d say demolish.

Capitalists love state help, whilst telling everyone free markets is where it’s at. The state/public money subsidises their wage costs, subsidises their risks, does all the costly research and development, and bails them out if they f*** up. Then some people on here tell us we owe everything to capitalists when in reality they owe everything to us.

Used to be proud of old Trafford, though tbf the plc started the abomination it’s become.

I’m of the opinion that any redevelopment of old Trafford has to keep the pitch where it is. That’s the soul of the club. Where every great player and team has played.

The alleged 140m p/season we’ve spent is par for course for a club of our means. Just been appallingly distributed across different managers who didn’t want half of the players purchased. I’m really beginning to think the Glazers had little input beyond the bottom line and left the nuts and bolts of it to Woowoo, who has been an unmitigated disaster, motivated only by reward for bringing in another sponsorship deal, overlooking the goose that laid the proverbial golden egg. Now he’s £#%&!ed off, with pockets jingling, leaving the club in an unimagined mess from when he took over. Unbelievable.

What baffles me is how the owners have raised the clubs value, yet don’t appear to be interested in selling at what must be it’s peak value. Maybe there aren’t any interested buyers at their asking price?
We’re clearly at a point where, the marketability of the club can only go down, due to the car crash of what is currently the playing side and negligence of the stadium. It’s hard to believe any credibility in new stadium talk but it will take that, and a similar investment in the team by somebody with real football nous to climb out of this hole. Maybe there are some signs of laying real foundations with Woodward departure and recent appointments but… not holding my breath
