If Mensah plays RB at Palace he should be one of three Dutch players in the back line, which could help the situation.

The timing couldn't be much better for him with Valencia 33 at the end of this season. A good year at Palace and he's put his claim in to challenge for the spot the following year. Talent level is so high.

I'd like to see him do well, but it does feel an odd choice. They hardly seem a stable club and you look at the players they have and it doesn't feel conducive to what he will want to do. Are they hiring him with a long term view of changing the whole ethos? Or is he just a name who they'll ditch after three months?
