Replete with masses of diagrams & shit.

It's Serenity-esque in length & detail, so avoid if you're feeling like a gobby @#%&! tbh (oh hai Neo ).

Never had an issue with reading your tactical sagery, pal; only taken exception to the constant stream of Champ Manager transfer lists and number crunching, which is plucked out of your arse in such huge volume, you £#%&!ing cabbage.

just on the champ man theme: i was watching ssn this morning, and they were actually using player stats from football manager to assess which players clubs should sign

big alan curbishley and hayley having an earnest discussion about opting for player a over player b because player a "only has an anticipation of 12, compared to 14. also his judgement is 15 compared to player b's 17".

the world's going absolutely £#%&!ing mad.

Saw that. They've used it a fair bit recently. £#%&!ing bonkers. As if they're using stats that determine how well a player will play in a £#%&!ing computer simulated game to judge how good a signing he'll be etc

Tbf Ole admitted when he was at Molde that he uses Football Manager to scout players

Bet loads of lower league English managers use it.

Bit harsh suggesting Siders is a clueless joker who resorts to video games to brush up on his football knowledge. Totally uncalled for imo.

interesting to read, but not so much to watch.

if you think football is about a winger with tricks being good enough to take on his fullback, look up and actually pick out a man running into the box, safe in the knowledge that he has competent defenders behind him should he lose the ball far up the pitch, you might find it all a bit mechanical (with van gaal as hephaestus) and frustrating.

of course, as soon as giggsy mentions this, van gaal will no doubt point out that his system doesn't involve hitting the nearest defender or standing with your hands on your hips.

In fairness, I have bought about two of the last ten editions of FM, but that is the type of shit I used to (would still) do

TLDR LOL

basically he won't sign Otamendi, Bale or Ramos because he thinks Jones, Blind and Smalling can do the job

Blind Jones Smalling

It's either a really shit blues musician or an unreliable collection of centre halves

Yeah, apart from the fact Van Gaal has actually won trophies. Good point otherwise
