Imagine if we went out this summer signing players to suit what we need to do, who knows, maybe some players who aren’t really well known and we get at a reasonable price? Bit of scouting maybe? |

We even overpaid for terrible players. Look at Fellaini. Nobody else interested, and we ended up actually paying above his release clause because we spent the summer fannying around. And on top of that he was an absolute lumbering carthorse who should have been playing for Stoke. We've also spent a decade making players worse. Genuinely hard to think of any players who've joined and improved. # Bruno maybe? |

In 2009 the repayments on the interest of our debt were so enormous that had we not sold Ronaldo and got the entire 80m quid up front from Madrid, we'd wouldn't have been able to pay them. It's still absolutely astounding that it was allowed to happen. The Premier League as usual not one bit interested as it was only United who were being £#%&!ing rinsed, all the while at the time they completely ignore City just sponsoring themselves. When you look at the players we were bringing in during that period of 09-14 it's a wonder we were able to compete for anything, let alone get to another champions league final in 2011, which if we're being honest, we had no business being in such was the gulf between Barcelona and ourselves at the time. While City were hoovering up the likes of Yaya Toure, Silva, Aguero, Tevez we were scouring the bargain bin for players like Michael Owen, Bebe, Obertan, Biram Diouf, Buttner, Smalling, Dave Corsa etc. I think it was only in 2014/15 when they restructured the debt that it actually allowed us to go an invest seriously in the squad. Which by that time we'd slipped miles behind anyway and we had Woodward in charge. |

Big boy shit.
Straight off the back of a league title win, we added real quality to a squad that was already developing into one of Europe's best. Ferguson saw the gaps off the back of that AC Milan tie, and swiftly addressed them. No surprise we went on to win another League title, and the Champions League straight after that summer. |

Would be nice if we could sign some players who don't have the mental strength of toddlers who could stay fit for the majority of the season. The players we can be 100% sure are leaving are Eriksen, Varane, Martial, Van De Beek, Amrabat and probably Johnny Evans. We've got no champions league football so you can absolutely forget about signing any more than 3 players realistically. |

I’m not sure getting rid of two of our best players will help us move forward.
