At least we can see the people you aren't happy with our recent progress and winning run as it highlights the failings of their messiah

You thick @#%&! We're all delighted with the progress, we're just baiting the LvG haters for sport

It's clear we aren't scoring enough, but on the whole it's better. But you'd expect it to be when you've added the POTY from France, Germany and Italy in the previous transfer window.

Which is nuts considering the young players "hated him"

Looks like Jose is looking at the bigger picture .

Yeah Rashford and Martial were big positives under LvG but they don't make up for the turgid shite that was served up

Siders can pull up whatever stats that back his view point but if you actually watch the games you can clearly see the big improvement from the football we saw last season
Yeah there are still issues like some less than stellar performances in big games and a poor chance conversion rate but you can see we're on the path to being a top side

Yep, said this before. Van Gaal didn't include Rashford in pre-season, didn't talk about him in the early part of the season, and didn't play him until February (after playing Will Keane!). Van Gaal stumbles upon him like a drunk in the park - and gets unadulterated praised for discovering and cultivating Rashford's talent under his tutelage by the Zonal Marking reds. Rashford who says Mourinho's coaching is superior .

He was on the bench against Watford in early November iirc.

He was on the bench a few times, but it doesn't suit the anti LVG story...

Staying on the bench for a team that couldn't score...is scoring the same number of goals as Sunderland part of the LvG story?

Tbf LvG has history for stumbling across young players. Did it a lot pretty much everywhere he's been. Stumbled across many of the greats. He's very fortunate to have prett much the best record of any manager in the game when it comes to stumbling across youth.

Comparing youth coaching of LvG vs Mou

Good research pal.

Surprised Keith hasn't had more stick from the lads. He basically said the other day that United haven't performed in big games and tbf haven't really had a top performance otherwise either. Was a pretty big statement.

Think I remember reading something a while back about him preferring to have smaller senior squads with a load of kids to fill the squad out, meaning that when you inevitably have injuries or suspension the kids get games.

Funny, I hear this word a lot when people talk about van Gaal's time at OT. Harking back to ten or twenty years ago, like past achievement is an indicator of future success.

And that's a quote from the player himself. Sorry if it shatters whatever illusions you've created, but he clearly says Mourinho's coaching is more geared to making him a more complete player.

I'm not talking the about nineties. I'm talking about right now.
