I know but he lived in Stretford.

Every match his young lad would be going 'ar dad, can't we stay til the end?' and every match he'd insist on leaving. No-one usually said anything though as he was a proper mentalist, the type who stands up to scream in vein-popping fury that Giggs is a @#%&! when the team's 5-0 up.

Somewhat on topic, I recall a few people wanting SAF out after the away derby game

The match which, of course, produced one of the most memorable "United are finished" screeds ever in the Mirror.............
