VAR is just a momentum killer isn't it? Take it out of the on pitch officials hands, have a ref in a room in the stadium with all the angles. Ref running off the pitch takes too long and will lead the sport down the path of timeouts and all that Americanized bullshit.

I heard other day this German team could also play for the u21s

One u21 team won the euros and the other has won the confederations cup ridiculous strength in depth

Number 1 in the world rankings after tonight's result. Hard to disagree really.

Big favourites to win the tournament next year, for me, especially with the home continent advantage. They're better than they were 4 years ago, and have the priceless experience of winning it already.

Their squad depth is insane, but Low will also know when to maintain a consistent starting XI, which is absolutely key in the big international tournaments.

France look good, but I think next year's World Cup may come slightly too soon based on their average age. Who knows though, if the likes of Mbappe, Dembele, Martial and Pogba have big seasons in 2017/18, they could do it.

Brazil and Argentina both look healthy enough to challenge, and England are improving, too.

I think it would be best for everyone if this VAR stuff was quietly forgotten about and never mentioned again.

For once, you state something that will command near universal approval here.
