It looks like Milan Mandaric the hobbit

Sculpted by Ray Charles by the looks of it.

Looks like a scene from Big.

They're pulling it down. The sculptor is complaining he only had photos to work from, not measurments, but that doesn't explain giving him the legs of a 9-year-old boy.

That might be the funniest-looking sculpture in history, and there's no way any self-respecting monkey would lose a fight to it if it came to life.

Appears the sculptor is the latest in a long line of GCSE artists denied greatness (or a B) by virtue of the fact that they "can't do hands".

Apparently they just trusted this #@&%! of a sculptor, right up until the pulled the curtain off it. He says he worked on it day and night for weeks, and that's the problem: being that close to it meant he lost all objectivity. To him it probably looked perfect.

I keep looking at those photos and giggling like an idiot. It really isn't right that I'm that amused by a statue of a bloke I've never even seen

That has to be the sculptor's dad. He's basically trying to say that they can put up with the deformed body as long as the thing looks like him a bit.
