Default Steven Gerrard

Doesn't this guy think before he opens his mouth?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7094812.stm

I hope they ask Benitez about Gerrard's recent comments, thick bastard.

It's a very stupid thing to say considering the majority of Liverpool's squad is stacked with foreigners and only 2 of their first team regulars are english.

He's the captain of a team full of foreigners, he simply shouldn't make comments like that public.

Course he doesn't think- it's well documented.

Telling newbies like Torres not to dive. Blaming Ronaldo for England's exit from the World Cup and general foreign sneakiness like telling the ref what to do. There are other examples of Gerrard's fatuousness, if I could be arsed finding them.

Because it risks causing unrest within their squad(which I hope happens btw).

Just pointing out that it was quite stupid of Gerrard to go public with it.

Now get out of my way.

oh, you think it will be interpreted as a personal attack on all foreigners at his club and affect how they all play?

now who is a £#%&!ing #@&%! who should think first?

if an english player expresses concern and supports an argument that many people agree with (including the actual legendary saf) then he is an idiot only if scouse?

belt up, picklehead

Yes it could be, which is why it's a big risk to take by going out public with. Considering his position at the club aswell as captain.

If you cannot grasp the fact that it is very possible some of the foreigners at Liverpool FC might be a bit disappointed or hurt at these comments then that's up to you.

As for SAF, I am not a hypocrite so read this bitch

You can bet your life he means every club other than verminpool. The 'special rule' will apply.

All this top level experience didn't do Stevie G much good, did it? Two Champions League finals and he still doesn't understand how to play central midfield properly .

And more than a hint of xenophobia in these comments, no? Foreigners "taking over"? £#%&! me.

I hate Gerrard but I'm going to agree with him.

Let's have a few seasons with a 3 foreigner limit and see how it plays out.

Don't be silly. Football is a world game. Thats why we love it. You wait, in the next week JT, McLaren, Shearer and Linekerr will all say the same. Its good grounding for "we're a bag of shit and thats why we didn;t qualify"

I know. The Inglunders will use it as a scapegoat and I completely agree with you on that and your post about certain demographics limiting the chances young lads get.

I just think it might take some of the circusesque appeal of the premiership away. Maybe I'm just being a nostalgic hopeful, but all the foreign ownership, fancy crap and moolah that goes with it winds me up.

It's why I'd take a Scholes over an Anderson any day.
