In the event that a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League and another win the UEFA Europa League and neither of these clubs finish in the top four of the Premier League, the club lying fourth in the table will drop into the UEFA Europa League group stage.

Not really fair that imo.

We've got LASK on the 5th of August. Plenty of time for the team to rest up. don't even need to play any of the top names in that game.
Then the QFs on the 10th August. They'll be rested & ready to smash it.

It’s 3 games really so good two week rest then go full hit to win it

I don’t disagree with the sentiment, but if you’re told 4th gets you CL and you achieve 4th, you shouldn’t have it taken away by a team finishing lower than you in any circumstance, imo.

There’s a difference between being told something and just not checking the fine print. I’m sure they didn’t just make this rule up.

Still buzzing.

It never sits well with me when we're dicking about in Europa.

Not only that, but the way we've done: blasted away through teams, put the shits up Leicester and done it with a young, vibrant frontline. A manager who exudes confidence, humility and clarity in everything he does....and we grounded it out when we needed to.

There's so much to like about this group and indeed the whole club again.

Contrast with 2 years ago and the way we went about things. Desperate, confused and not attachment to our values at all

People scoff at the notion of 'United DNA' and it can be overstated, but Ole has shown that there is something there in that regard.

That picture of all 11 players celebrating yesterday is beautiful.

And I just got back from the gym. Cracking day!

Nothing unfair about it, top 3 guarantees you CL and 4th probably does unless other teams do what you can't do and are actually successful. It's bad enough that 4th place allows you to waltz into the group stages while the champions of smaller countries have to jump through hoops.

Yep, 4th place has to play a qualifier, usually against someone you've at least heard of but ultimately isn't very good.
