Default Birmingham to end Ben Foster's Manchester United misery by sealing £6m swoop for keeper

Quote:
Birmingham have agreed a £6million deal with Manchester United for goalkeeper Ben Foster.

The two clubs held talks over the weekend and have struck a deal for the 27-year-old with a basic £4million being paid up front and the rest added according to performances and international caps.
It ends a period of frustration for Foster who has struggled in the shadow of Edwin van der Sar and realised his days were numbered with United scouting Manuel Neuer at Schalke and, number one target, Hugo Lloris of Lyon in recent weeks.
Foster said his goodbyes to teammates at Carrington on Saturday and will look forward to regular football at Birmingham from next season.
Birmingham also hope to sign Rangers striker Kris Boyd over the next few weeks on a free transfer.

He's found his level. Didn't have the mental strength to be a United player.

The performance at home to City was Leightonesque.

He might do pretty well there as Howard has at Everton, though as has been pointed out his inability to jump is a major liability.

The same as Howard and Carrol. Decent but floppers.

Actually mentioning Carrol, where the £#%&! has he gone?

EDIT " Odense Boldklub (also known as Odense BK or the more common used OB) is a Danish professional football club based in the town of Odense "

£#%&!ing hell

out: Foster £6m, Berbatov £10m, Carrick £10m, Hargreaves £5m. = £31m.

Stick 20 odd million on that and you have enough money to get 3 top class players.

It's sad how many current United players you could say that about, explains some of the weak surrenders in games this season, so many defeats where we've not even scored a goal. I still can't believe we lost to Leeds.

Might get on Brum to be relegated next season now, after all, Hart kept them in games this season.

Also gonna get on Stoke to go down after their fans' conduct yesterday.

There's loads of bets like that which are very easy to call. Portsmouth & Hull to go down was a certain. Chelsea to win the FA Cup was also pretty likely. Problem is, you have to bet so far in advance that it's not worth it.

Newcastle have confirmed they will not be spending any new money on players in the summer as they seek to stay in the Premier League next season
