It feels like the end of the 98 season, hoping Arsenal would lose to Everton but it ended up being a stroll in the park for them.

No it wasn't.
It was 2 or 3 games from the end if I remember??...seem to remember they lost their last couple of games & we closed the gap to one point on the Final day.

Sunday will be horrible because we probably all 'deep down' are still counting on a miracle (as Bruce once said) ...but there's £#%&!ing no chance.
I almost hope Chelsea put the game to bed early on because it'd be hell if we were leading & Chelsea didn't go infront until the 70+ minute mark

Yeah, re Arsenal back then we had been counting on them dropping points at Anfield (again!) come the next to last game........

As it was they already had it sewn up, played a load of kids because they had the Cup final coming, and lost 4-0

My mistake, it was the second to last game, they actually lost their last game of the season to Villa, but that Everton game won them the title which is why I got it muddled.

Will you pack it in Ste. I've 'known' since we played Chelsea it was all over. Had it confirmed after Blackburn, yet here we are with 1 game to go and mathematically we can still win it. Everyone knows we won't, but there's still hope.

A mate of mine likened it this we to buying a lottery ticket - deep down you know you aren't going to win, but you always think you might.

I've gone for 6-0 on Fredcast. Wigan have lost 9-1 to Spurs, 4 -0 to Arse and 5-0 to us away from home this season. 6-0 is perfectly feasible
