There's no doubt Ronaldo's class. I saw him play at the weekend and he was unreal. You need to remember though that Forlan won the golden boot in Spain. Rooney would have a field day over there.

Rooney>Ronaldo.

Brilliant 3rd goal.

And Rooney is some way behind Ronaldo, imo.

25 league goals in 27 appearances

the argument that anyone can do it in spain is fair

except that Ronaldo won the European Golden Boot when he was in the Premiership of course

which kind of pisses all over the argument

this season's standings are currently like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009%E2...note-llstats-1

as for the Treble, the fact that both Bayern and Inter are on for it this season, and that United were very very close to it in 2008, might be another step towards the world's football media getting Barcelona's 2009 season back into some kind of perspective. yes, they had a great season. but in 08 United knocked them out of the CL, and this season Inter comfortably outplayed them in the S/F, as well as Real still pushing them for La Liga despite their points tally being already into the nineties - and had Real got a fair result in the first classico when they totally outplayed the world champions for much of the game they would currently be top.
